Only 10 days away from the official CD launch of MUSE by The Tiki Collective. We have been soft launching it for a few weeks now with positive responses from all. Music from the CD has been played on CBC Radio 1, Timeless Media, News Talk 1010 and JazzFM along with Regent Radio and traction is starting.

The CD launch on the 16th of August 2018 at 7PM at the Berkeley Church Fieldhouse will be a star studded event. The facility is a great space with both interior and exterior Muskoka landscape type feel. The entire CD will be played live under the stars in this immaculate space. Where else can you see an amazing band and over a dozen great singers in one night. This is not to be missed and we are all looking forward to bring this great music to more and more of you.

MUSE - TIKI COLLECTIVE CD REVIEW - THE JAZZ MUSIC BLOG.....
September 14, 2018 Marty's review:

To put this in layman's terms, this album is soooo COOL! Dreamy exotica with a contemporary feel that reinvents the style in a way that creates an exquisite and stylish sound that swirls and soars. The reinterpretations of past classics like "Don't Fear the Reaper", "I'll Be Seeing You" and "Sweetest Taboo" are delivered ina unique and sensitive way that breathes new life into them. With seductive vocals, lush and layered instrumentation and a production quality that is sublime and polished, this release is destined to create a new genre in jazz exotica.

"Nowadays Toronto can boast a jazz scene as vibrant as Chicago’s. More proof: The Tiki Collective, which brings together 16 vocalists and a flock of players for a set of recordings that draw on the ’50s-’60s tiki bar exotica associated with Arthur Lyman. The tropical sheen merges well with the album’s subtly emotive voices and sophisticated choice of material."

Every year broadcaster-producer-empresario Jaymz Bee celebrates his birthday with at least one fundraising event for charity. This year will mark his biggest yet with a series of simultaneous concerts held in ten rooms at Old Mill Toronto that will benefit Unison Benevolent Fund.

Vesuvius Music and Jaymz Bee - Present  the Caravan of Music -  a four hour event where hundreds of people tour the various rooms at Old Mill Toronto, taking in a few songs from each band in each room. Tickets (ie. a Passport) are $40 and get you into all of the rooms. As you exit the room your passport is stamped and those with completed passports (meaning those who have been inside every room at least once) are entered in a draw for some fabulous prizes at the end of the night.

The night also features a VIP Gala Dinner from 6-8 pm with a special concert from Tom Cochrane and friends. Gala tickets can be purchased for $200 and ticket holders also have full run of the Caravan that goes from 8pm to Midnight. MARKHAM - JAZZ FESTIVAL

What a great event at the Markham Jazz Festival this year.  Vesuvius Music was present at this event showcasing our existing artists and future ones as well.  The reception we got from the crowd for all of our team was overwhelming.   We are currently involved in making a Blues record with the famous JAY Douglas who did an incredible 2 hour set that had the entire crowd dancing and singing....

John Finley closed out Saturday night with his back up band - THE Tiki Collective.  In the set John did a few songs from his new CD with Vesuvius Music which is coming out shortly.  The audience (standing room only) was intensely captivated by John's powerful voice and stage presence and backed up by a band that played hard and tight.  If you missed this then you missed something special.

Not to fear.... Vesuvius will be show casing Jay and John and Tiki  in early October at Lula Lounge.....  GET YOUR TICKETS AS SOON AS THEY COME OUT AS THIS WILL SELL OUT FASTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT.....
